What if I win a gun?

Besides being lucky, you must complete a federally mandated form 4473 (commonly known as the “Yellow Sheet”). You may also be required to fill out the federally mandated W-9 providing your social security number for prizes valued over $600.

If you have your concealed handgun license, the address on your license must match the address you put on the form 4473. If the address doesn’t match, you must provide proof of address. Valid proof of address includes a current driver’s license, insurance card, or utility bill.

If you do not possess a concealed handgun license, you must have valid government issued photo identification and pass the FBI background check. A valid photo ID includes a state issued driver’s license or a passport. If the address on your photo ID is not current and will not match the address on your form 4473, you must provide proof of address. Valid proofs of address include a current insurance card or utility bill.

If for any reason your background check is not cleared by Saturday evening, you will have to pick up your gun from HOIST’s gun dealer.
